Veteran-owned and operated AC Global Risk is a San Francisco-based startup that uses proprietary technology to analyze the human voice to help government agencies and civilian companies manage and identify risk. All it takes is a 10-minute automated interview in any language and any location.
QSEHRA Review
Compared to other risk management solutions used in screening and fraud detection, AC Global Risk’s proven service is cost-effective and easy.
With special advisors on board like Condoleezza Rice and a recent interview with Bloomberg, it’s clear that this startup is going places.
Since AC Global Risk has only been around since 2016, Ashly Arroyo wears many hats for the growing company, including HR support, operations, administration, and recruiting new hires. She recently chatted with the Take Command team about AC Global Risk’s experience with a tax advantaged tool that has opened a lot of doors for their benefit offerings.
As their team has grown to 10 full-time employees and 20 contractors and special advisors, it’s become increasingly important to recruit and maintain the best talent. Knowing how competitive the landscape is, Ashly wanted to offer competitive benefits to take care of the team. A majority of the employees are veterans who have great healthcare, so she wanted to find an added benefit to complement their plans and to offer healthcare coverage for non-veteran employees as well. During her research she found Take Command Health and its QSEHRA administration tool.
To catch you up to speed, QSEHRA is a tax-free HRA account for startups and small businesses that allows companies to put away tax free dollars for their employees to use towards premiums and medical costs throughout the year.
Ashly said what was interesting about the QSEHRA was “that it had tax-free funds to supplement premium and medical expense payments and a portal that makes it easy for everyone to manage their own expenses.”
She knew AC Global Risk would be able to offer competitive benefits by implementing a QSEHRA for their employees.
“For the veterans on our team, they get great healthcare whether they are retired or not. Providing a QSEHRA is a huge benefit because it offsets their out of pocket costs,” added Ashly.
Employees are currently able to use QSEHRA funds for health plan premiums and medical expenses, which is a great perk for veteran and non-veteran team members.
Signing up for QSEHRA in January, Ashly has been thrilled with the process of onboarding and getting started.“The support is exceptional. We work with Elyse and she has made herself readily available any time we need her. She’s been wonderful.”
Knowing her employees are taken care of has given Ashly confidence in Take Command’s QSEHRA tool!
Let's talk through your HRA questions
I wrote this blog because I care about ideas (big and little) that can help fix our healthcare system. I used to work on projects for Kaiser Permanente and the Parkland Health & Hospital System so I've seen the system inside and out. It's so important that consumers keep up with industry shifts and changing health insurance regulations. I'm also Take Command Health's Content Editor and a busy mom. Learn more about me and connect with me on our about us page. Thanks!
